DEGEN TRENDS TO WATCH IN H2 2025 (P1) 💰

What is your favorite narrative in crypto right now?

And do you think you’re early, late, or right on time?

Spotting degen trends in crypto is chaos.

Already this year we’ve seen categories explode and now begin to sour - InfoFi, SocialFi, AI launchpads. All that is getting tired.

And then there’s something like Hyperliquid that still feels quite early, despite having already hit a 20x and being all over the timeline.

But I’m not a catchup kind of guy (I prefer mustard). 

I’m an early riser. I want to be first. Or at least…earlier than the timeline.

Here’s what I’m most excited for in the next 6 months:

InfoFi evolves (or dies)

InfoFi has had its moment.

Loudio made waves.

Kaito got everyone to Yap about things they’d never heard of.

And now the timeline is flooded with low-effort yap campaigns, copy-paste posts, and AI spam.

But that’s why this moment matters.

To survive, the winners have to level up.

Kaito is doing exactly that.

They’re launching a new token platform - a legit launchpad with massive potential. 

It's yet another launchpad, yes - but this is Kaito we’re talking about. A platform that has already distributed $100M+ in marketing rewards, integrated with Instagram, and fundamentally changed how crypto twitter works (for better or worse).

My prediction: Kaito’s new product will blur the line between InfoFi and ICM (Internet Capital Markets). I think it's a Launchcoin competitor.

In fact, I think it’s a Launchcoin world-eater.

Less yap-to-earn, more launch-to-win. And with the full support of Base behind it.

How to position:

• Stake $KAITO and/or hold a Kaito NFT

• Get to yapping (but only if you enjoy it - the upside is selective now)

“SignalFi” is coming (maybe)

SignalFi might not even be a real term yet - but it should be.

It’s the layer that blends prediction markets, info networks, and onchain trend forecasters. Heck, you could even say that this very newsletter is SignalFi. 

And it’s growing fast, as devs find more and more things for us to bet on.

For example, an app like Noise, which is still in closed beta, promises to let us bet on social signals and trends. 

Or Infinex’s Bull Run, where you pick a handful of tickers every day and compete against others on a leaderboard.

And then there is Polymarket, which has stayed relevant post-election and recently raised $200M at a $1B valuation. Plus, it has now integrated with X, and we may soon be living in a world where we place prediction bets directly in a tweet. 

My god. What a world that would be.

How to position:

• Put up volume on Polymarket (potential airdrop)

• Track new projects launching on MegaETH

• Watch how Cookie, Kaito, and other InfoFi players evolve - this should be their pivot.

DEGEN TRENDS TO WATCH IN H2 2025 (P2) 💰

One-stop AI protocols

The market is drenched in AI agents. And it's hard to pick winners because quite a few of those agents are actually legit now.

The solution? Get them to work together.

ACP from Virtuals will be such a huge unlock. It’s a protocol where agents talk to each other and work together to execute transactions and strategies.

What this could mean:

• Simpler UX

• Plug-and-play strategies

• Real capital efficiency

In a perfect world, you’d be able to say: “I want to put $500 into swing trading memecoins with 3x leverage, using this wallet”, and it just runs. It finds the right agents, leverages their compute and data, and you see returns on a daily or weekly basis.

ACP will be the first to trial this. And many others will follow (I hope!).

How to position:

• Accumulate $GAME on Virtuals

• Watch for ACP’s public launch

Post-PumpFun fallout

The PumpFun airdrop is going to be nuclear.

• $1B raise

• Biggest airdrop of the quarter

• Institutional investors salivating

BUT - this will suck the liquidity out of memecoins across Solana. Many people will get rich. Many more will be left holding the bags of dead memes. A total reset.

And since everyone has copied the pump launchpad model, this type of VC exit and liquidity event will become the norm - which may kill the business model entirely.

How to position:

• Be ready to dump memecoins close to the airdrop

• Be ready to buy memecoins on the post-airdrop lows

Wrapping up

If there’s one constant in degen land, it’s this:

Winners hide in plain sight.

We had weeks, if not MONTHS, to get into Virtuals, Kaito, Hyperliquid…all of it.

Pay attention. 

Read between the yaps.

$PENGU outperformed all memes this week. Whales piled in, the ETF hype got real, and NFT action kept $PENGU flexing while the rest just watched.

$USELESS hit an ATH at $240M on Monday. Bonk Guy and Korean KOLs pumped it ~2,000% in June, cult hype drove a pure meme-fuelled rocket ride with no roadmap or utility behind it.

Megalio NFTs sold out and ran to a 0.15 ETH floor. Hype is starting to build for MegaETH.
