Welcome to the fifth edition of the Degen PRO Report.

We had ourselves a week, degen.

Last Friday night, after some late-night digging, I pulled the trigger on our first-ever leverage play in the signals chat: a $SOL long.

By Tuesday, we hit our first Take Profit target at $205.

By Wednesday, it looked like we were about to speedrun the second target of $225 - until those crusty old inflation numbers killed the vibe.

But we didn’t stop there. In the group chat, I called longs on the other big Solana ecosystem names - $JUP, $W, and $WIF - all ripping 40-100% at different points in the week before coming back to earth on Thursday. 

And just for fun, I even snagged the runner of the week, $LITTLEGUY, at $2.5M… which ended up kissing $8M and is the talk of the trenches. 

One of our best calls? $DKING, bought in the $8M - $11M range, which 2x’d before Thursday’s dump and could still see a supply squeeze as it heads for its rebrand and migration on August 28th.

🧠 VIBECHECK

A tale of two markets, degen.

By Wednesday, we were flying high. By Thursday… whacked. But honestly, it’s just a speed bump on the road to the promised land. Majors are already bouncing, and our degen bags look primed for the next leg up. 

Memes, though? Different story. The big names like $FARTCOIN and $SPX6900 are stuck in chop city. I’m starting to think we might have to wait a few months for them to run again - maybe we’ve officially entered the fabled “Alt Season” where memes sit on the bench (more on that below 👀).

Still, I’m bullish across the board. Even with the ugly inflation print, we’ve got some very tasty entries on the table. We ride on.

📚 WEEKLY RESEARCH

1/ $TIBBIR: whale accumulation

No way to sugarcoat it - this one’s been haunting me. I’ve tracked it since $86M, but haven’t pulled the trigger… and now it’s sitting at $212M. The rumor mill says it’s backed by Micky Malka (one of the biggest web2 VCs alive) with some other massive names in the mix. They even bought a clown CryptoPunk last month.

Now, whales are scooping like crazy - yet we still don’t know exactly what this is. Is that reason enough to buy? Maybe. I keep asking myself if this will be another $REKT or $ZORA moment, where I sit on the sidelines watching it run to $500M. The fact it only dropped ~16% during Thursday’s carnage is impressive for a degen token this fresh.

2/ TimeFun: some movement

Yeah, I know… I talk about TimeFun every damn week. Let’s just call it our little secret. But the last few days brought some solid updates:

• Ansem bought back 3.3% of his own token and is publicly talking about it.

• Award pools are live, redistributing fees to top holders of creators.

It’s still a high-risk bet for me - but one of those “you had all the time in the world to accumulate” plays. If it pops, you feel like a genius.
